How it works
When you open a magic link or paste a URL, we validate the public post ID, extract media metadata, and list downloadable qualities. Short-lived signed tokens stream the file so arbitrary URLs are never fetched from the browser. For ended Live replays, the server remuxes HLS to a finished MP4 before the download starts.

No. SaveTheX does not burn logos or text into the file. You get the media X already serves for that public post (creator watermarks inside the original video are unchanged).

No. Protected accounts and private posts cannot be accessed. The post must be publicly viewable.
What quality does it support?
SaveTheX lists the useful resolutions available for that post — often 1080p, 720p, 480p, or 360p — based on what X actually serves.
How does the savethe shortcut work?
